Version 1.3 · Effective 22 October 2026

This policy explains what Your Face Report ("we", "us") collects, why, who processes it, how long we keep it and how you can delete it. Your Face Report (yourfacereport.com), based in the United States, is the data controller. Questions: support@yourfacereport.com.

2. Facial and biometric data

Measurements of facial geometry can identify a person, so we handle them as biometric data under laws such as the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), Washington's My Health My Data Act, the Texas CUBI Act and Article 9 of the EU/UK GDPR.

3. How the analysis works

  1. On your device: Google's MediaPipe Face Landmarker, served from our own website, finds 478 landmarks in your photo. Our measurement code runs in your browser. For free tools, this is the end — nothing is sent anywhere.
  2. For a paid report: your photo (re-encoded in your browser to remove location and device metadata) and the landmarks are sent to our servers. We recompute your measurements, then:
    • Google Gemini reviews the photo (input safety check, color season, perceived age, hair) and generates the hairstyle previews and styling concept;
    • every generated image is checked by Gemini against your original for safety and likeness before we keep it;
    • Anthropic Claude writes your report from our measurements.
  3. Both models are reached through OpenRouter, restricted to providers that do not retain prompts or images (zero data retention) and do not train on them.

We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you. Scores describe proportions within typical ranges; they are not a judgement of you.

5. Cookies

We use only cookies needed for the site to work: a language preference (NEXT_LOCALE), the random browser identifier (yfr_anon) and, if you sign in, session cookies from our sign-in system. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will ask first.

6. How long we keep data

DataKept for
Photos, landmarks, measurements and consent records for unpaid ordersDeleted within 3 hours
Paid report: photo, landmarks, measurements, AI observations, report, images, PDF, moderation recordsUntil you delete it, at most 12 months
Payment notifications (contain your email)90 days, then reduced to a delivery record
Order records (product, price, date, status)As long as needed for bookkeeping; your email is removed when you delete your data
Account (if you signed in)Until you delete it
Consent records for a paid reportDeleted with the report or your account, at most 12 months

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California law) you can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time.

You may also complain to your data protection authority.

8. Age

Paid reports are only for adults (18+). You confirm your age before paying, and our input check stops processing — and deletes the photo and everything measured from it — only if the person clearly appears to be a child (an estimated age entirely under 18). You can then upload a different photo. Free tools store nothing, and the site is not directed at children under 13.

9. Security

Photos and reports are stored in private storage, never on public URLs; links to images expire after an hour. Private report links contain a random secret of which we store only a hash. All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS).

10. Changes

If we change this policy materially, we will update the version and date above and, where we have your email, tell you before the change takes effect.
